Trial landing at Naini-Saini air strip today

The air strip at the Naini-Saini airport in the district will have a trial landing. A nine-seater aircraft from a private company will land at the air strip tomorrow, Pithoragarh District Magistrate Ranjit Kumar Sinha said this here today.

“The start of flights from the air strip will begin from the next day if the test flight becomes successful. The inauguration will be held by Chief Minister Harish Rawat,” said the District Magistrate.

“The decision to run commercial flights from the air strip has been taken after its widening work has been completed,” said the DM. — OC
