Former Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete is expected in Namibia on Tuesday for a meeting with President Hage Geingob.

Kikwete is a member of the International Commission on Financing Global Education Opportunity, which aims to reinvigorate the case for investing in education to develop the potential of the world's young people.

A statement issued on Monday by the Namibian Presidency said Kikwete will meet Geingob at the coastal town of Swakopmund, about 350 kilometers from Windhoek.

The meeting scheduled for Tuesday, according to the statement, will focus on enhancing partnership in education.

"The meeting will ... focus on how we can work together in addressing support for education and increase financial support and foster a stronger commitment to delivering and financing education in Namibia," the statement said. Endit
