ICAI CA CPT December 2016: Lakhs of CA aspirants appear in two sessions

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducted the ICAI CA CPT December 2016 exam. The exam was held in two sessions in 171 cities in the country.

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducted the ICAI CA CPT December 2016 exam.  Approximately 2.28 Lakhs of Chartered Accountancy (CA) aspirants appear for December 2016 CPT exam at various exam centres. Aspirants are required to note that the exam was held in two sessions in 171 cities in the country. To clear ICAI CA CPT  exam, candidates will need to attempt a minimum of 170 questions to pass the exam and graduate to the next level. The total number of questions set in the exam is 200 and some of the questions are lengthy can time consuming.

ICAI CA CPT paper December 2016 exam has four subjects  Accountancy, Mercantile Law, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. ICAI publishes the result of these exams on its official website, icai.nic.in. Candidates are required to bring a card board or clip board on which nothing should be written so that they have no difficulty in darkening the circles in OMR Answer sheet. If the CPT registration number column is blank or registration number printed is not correct on the admit card. Common Proficiency Test (CPT) consisted of multiple objective type questions and the paper relating to Mercantile Law carries 40 marks. For every objective question, there will be only one correct answer for such question.
