VADODARA: The Gotri police has sought arrest warrant from the court against owners of Shree Mukt Jewellers who have conned many citizens of lakhs of rupees and are absconding since long. A complaint of cheating against the owners was registered on July 28 this year. Within a few days, more citizens came out with complaints against them. After the offences were registered, the main accused Gopal Soni died due to heart attack and since then his sons, Divyang and Harsh, are absconding with the family.
The police had even issued a look-out notice at airports to ensure that they do not flee the country, said KP Jadeja, police inspector, Gotri. However, the police have remained unsuccessful in tracking them down. Sources have said that after opening the showroom in Alkapuri, the owners had sought loans worth crores from various banks and had never paid them back.
