Anupama Paramaeswaran to pair with Ram Charan in Sukumar’s next

Anupama shot to fame after her Malayalam debut Premam in 2015, which had shaken the box office and also led to the film's remake in Telugu starring Naga Chaitanya.

Popular Malayalam actor Anupama Parameswaran has been picked up for Ram Charan’s next film with director Sukumar. “Anupama is the second lead. Look test was done on her a couple of days ago and she got selected,” a source close to the film unit has revealed on Saturday.

It was just on Friday it was confirmed Ram Charan would be teaming up with director Sukumar for his next project that will start rolling from January last week, once the actor gets free from the promotions of Khaidi No 150.

The film is said to be an “interesting” romantic story in a village backdrop away from the commercial mass-action films. Director Sukumar was also said to be particular about the female lead for the film, but the news came soon after the dates were locked.

Anupama shot to fame after her Malayalam debut Premam in 2015, which had shaken the box office and also led to the film’s remake in Telugu starring Naga Chaitanya. She was retained in the Telugu version too. She also acted with Nithiin in A Aa and will be seen on screen with Sharwanand in Shathmanam Bhavathi.

It is also heard that Sukumar himself has written the story for Charan. His debut movie Arya starring Allu Arjun, which was also written by him, went on to become a blockbuster. And now he has written the story for the romantic flick too.

Rathnavelu and Devi Sri Prasad will reportedly be brought onboard as cinematographer and music director respectively. Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling the film.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan landed in Hyderabad after his US trip for Dhruva premier show. The actor who is bankrolling his father megastar Chiranjeevi’s comeback film Khaidi No 150 is said to be busy with the film’s promotions. The movie is slated for a release around Sankranti in January next year.
