President Obama and Hillary Clinton have joined forces to deny the obvious and mislead the American people -- and now they are doing Vladimir Putin's work for him.

Let's assume that the reports of Russian hacking are accurate or even understated. The goal of such hacking was NOT to help get Donald Trump elected. The goal was to weaken Hillary Clinton.

The Russians, just like the media and just like Donald Trump himself, believed that Hillary's election as POTUS 45 was inevitable. The Russians had no superior insight leading them to believe that they could "elect" Trump. Instead, they had a simple strategic goal -- leak documents which would weaken Hillary's legitimacy in the eyes of the American people.

Of course in doing this they were helped by something the President, the Clinton campaign, and the media choose to forget: the documents were created by the Clinton folk. In simple language, the Russians publicized bad things that the Clinton campaign and the DNC were actually doing.

Yes, some people took offense at what these documents showed.

No, those people were not the same ones who "elected" Trump

Trump was elected because Hillary Clinton's campaign took Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania for granted.

But why accept responsibility when one can use the Russians as an excuse?

What is NOT being discussed is how this very same excuse is doing the Russians' dirty work for them.

The goal of the hacking was to weaken the perceived legitimacy of the President.

All of this noise about how the hacking "helped elect Trump" is doing just that -- weakening the perceived legitimacy of the President-elect.

It is helping no one.

We KNOW how the Russians got access. Stupid Clinton and DNC staffers (at the highest levels) fell for a phishing scam and GAVE THEM the passwords. It was NOT rocket science. It does not require a massive investigation. It does suggest a need for better education.

Where is the focus on better educating public officials and their staffs on the basics of cybersecurity?

Why is there all this nonsense about what the Russians "did"?

The "bad acts" were done BY THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN and the DNC. But, better to blame the messenger.

The negligence was ALL on the Clinton folks (for giving away passwords, doing "bad" things, and taking those three states' voters for granted).

It is the height of IRRESPONSIBILITY for both Clinton and Obama to be working to delegitimize Trump.

Donald J. Trump will be our 45th President (actually number 52 or so but no one counts the presidents who served under the articles of confederation).

We ALL need to find a way to make him as productive and successful as possible.

When he acts in a manner calling for a response -- be vigilant and respond.

When he speaks in a manner calling for a response -- respond, but being mindful that Trump often does not do what his words suggest, make constructive suggestions of alternative and do not engage in name calling

BUT BUT BUT the 44th President and Hillary Clinton are doing Putin's dirty work. It needs to stop. NOW.
