Sanjay Dutt reveals the real reason why he had a gun at the time of the 1993 Bombay bomb blasts...

Sanjay Dutt walked out of Yerwada Jail as a free man last year. The actor had served a jail term of 5 years for possession of an illegal firearm during the 1993 Bombay bomb blasts. And while he has already served his sentence, the actor wants everyone to know that he was not involved in the blasts at all. Sanju Baba was a guest at an event of the Young FICCI Ladies Organisation along with his sister Priya Dutt and friend Pooja Bhatt. That's where he made a shocking revelation... While talking about being charged for illegal possession of firearms, Sanjay revealed, "I love guns and I love hunting. I got into trouble for having a gun and at that time, there were riots going on. One of my producers asked me, 'Tujhe bandook chahiye?' Bandook sunn ke mere kaan khade ho gaye. (You want a gun? Hearing the word gun made me interested) I asked which gun? And he said AK-56. I thought I would take it to Khandala, thoda chala vala ke phek dunga (use it a little and throw it). I kept it in the car dicky and forgot about it and went to Mauritius. When Priya called me, asking about it, I told a friend to get rid of it. He got rid of it, but the poor guy is still in jail." So while he might not have been linked to the terrorists or the attacks, his passion for guns and hunting got him into trouble. Anyway the actor is making his comeback to Bollywood now.
