BHOPAL: As income tax officials are zeroing in on officials of two private banks in connection with seizure of Rs 43 lakh in new currencies from a TV actor, police in Guna district arrested another accused from Raghogarh area with Rs 6.8 lakh in Rs 2,000 denominations. The accused has been identified as Vikram Singh Rajput, resident of Binaganj area.
Meanwhile, in Jabalpur five people were arrested with Rs 6 lakh mostly in new notes.

Raghogarh SHO DPS Chouhan said Rajput was caught following specific inputs from AB Road. "We got three bundles of Rs 2,000 and 14 separate notes from his possession," Chouhan said.
During interrogation, Rajput told police that he was going to convert this cash into a fixed deposit. Chouhan said that the notes were not in serial order. "Initially we don't think involvement of bank officials as the notes were not in order," he added.
On December 8, a television actor was arrested with Rs 43.6 lakh in new currency notes in Hoshangabad.
