COIMBATORE: The leaders of Akhila Bharat Hanuman Sena on Tuesday said they have received an anonymous letter threatening them of dire consequences if they were to act against a particular minority community.
The outfit members have, subsequently, lodged complaint with the city police officials.
Three Akhila Bharat Hanuman Sena functionaries, Govindaraj, Rajendran and Shanmugam, received the threat letter two days ago.
It claimed that RSS and Hindu Munnani organisations had already stopped their atrocities against the Muslim community after they were dealt with violence.
Pointing out that Akhila Bharat Hanuman Sena functionaries have been working against the community, the letter threatened its functionaries of dire consequences if they were to continue to target the community and its members.
The state secretary of Akhila Bharat Hanuman Sena Babu alias Krishnan had on Monday lodged a complaint with the city police commissioner A Amalraj, saying that the letter was a result of a police complaint they lodged on December 5, requesting the police to conduct raids on the premises of some members of Muslim community.
The city police have initiated a probe into this.
