Niger Delta APC Youths Vanguard Honours NITT Director General

Niger-Delta APC Youth Vanguard has honoured with an award of excellence, the Director General Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) Zaria Dr. Aminu Musa Yusuf in recognition of his selfless service to the nation.
Dr. Yusuf observed that “Nigeria is for all of us” and therefore every Nigerian has equal right to live and work anywhere in the country. He exemplified by noting that the Institute religiously adhered to the principles of Federal Character during the last recruitment exercise.
Speaking at the ceremony the DG said every state of the Federation was fairly represented, adding that even at the Management level, the Institute tried its best to capture every geopolitical zone.
According to him, in pursuit of adequate regional spread and coverage, NITT had established study centres in Abuja, Lagos, Port-Harcourt and Gombe; while Enugu outreach centre was in progress.
Dr. Yusuf noted that given the Institute’s mandate to professionalize the transport industry, NITT was working assiduously towards adding PhD programme to its courses.
He thanked the Niger-Delta APC Youth Vanguard for the award while noting that it humbled him as well as challenged him to do more.
While dedicating the award to the institute, Dr.  Aminu assured the group of his readiness to do more for the progress and development of the country.
Presenting the award, the national coordinator of the Niger Delta APC Youths Vanguard, Comrade Collins Obilor said the award was bestowed on the DG because of his excellent service delivery to the nation.
The group “adopted and passed a vote of absolute confidence” on Dr. Aminu Musa Yusuf describing him as a “national role model” worthy of emulation.
He said the Honourable Minister of Transportation, RT. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, really commended Dr. Aminu Yusuf’s efforts in nation building”.
Comrade Collins promised that the group will stand by the DG and pledged their unflinching support to him.
He stressed the DG is a person who can never be compromised come rain, come shine”.
Chief Amachree who led the group to the Institute appealed to Dr. Yusuf to join politics after retirement to enable him contribute more to the development of the nation in different capacity.
According to Chief Amachree, politics would provide Dr. Aminu Musa Yusuf with a wider platform to touch lives as he had been doing since becoming the DG of NITT.
“Niger-Delta APC Youth Vanguard consists of membership from “189 Local Government Areas of the nine (9) states of Niger-Delta region”, with women adequately represented”.
