Desi leaders enjoy videshi performances at this do

Delhi’s politicians, bureaucrats and corporate heads had a gala time recently at businessman Vikramjit Singh Sahney’s annual bash. Though it seemed to be a friendly get-together, the political lines were noticeable at the do as the entry and exit of BJP and Congress leaders was perfectly timed. Senior Congressman P Chidambram was one of the first guests at the evening, while Union Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu came towards the end.
Chidambaram enjoyed the African acrobatics performances, but left quietly in the middle of it. A few minutes later, Anurag Thakur, BCCI president, entered. "This is an annual event hosted by Mr Sahney and it’s not just a regular party, but he makes efforts to bring people of different nationalities together on one platform, which is why I enjoy coming here. Besides, it was a coincidence that I was in Delhi – I am mostly not in the city – so I thought, why not?" he explained.

Union Minister Suresh Prabhu posed for selfies as the requests poured in. Even after the VIPs left the venue, the musical performances by desi and international artists continued till late evening.
