BADLAPUR: An activist, Satyajeet Burman, was allegedly assaulted by five RPF personnel, including a police sub-inspector, for complaining against hawkers at Badlapur railway station on Sunday evening.
Kalyan GRP registered a non-cognizable offence against five police personnel on Monday. Burman, a resident of Ambernath, also alleged that police were pressurising him to not file a complaint.

On Sunday evening, Burman was returning home and he saw that hawkers have blocked major portion of entrance of the railway station. He saw two RPF personnel and asked them to take action. He said, “Instead, they started arguing with me. Later they called three more officers and took me to an isolated spot and manhandled me.”
