Rathnavelu in Ram Charan’s next film

The soft-spoken cinematographer Rathnavelu who has made films like Enthiran, Haridas and Linga, has been roped in to handle the lenses for Ram Charan’s yet-to-be-titled upcoming project.

To be directed by Sukumar, sources say the shooting will start by mid December this year. “He’s busy filming Chiranjeevi’s Khiladi No 150, the Telugu remake of the Vijay-stareer Kaththi. After finishing his existing commitments, he’ll join Ram Charan’s film,” adds the source. Reports also suggest that this film is a period drama set in a village.

On the other hand, it’s not known as to who has been finalised as the leading lady. “Talks are on with a few; but till this date the team hasn’t zeroed in on anybody,” the source told CE.

Handling the camera for Telugu films isn’t new to him. He has already worked in Arya (2004), Jagadam (2007), 1-Nenokkadine (2014), among a few.
