MUMBAI: A businessman lost his cash and gold and diamond valuables worth Rs 36 lakhs on Juna Link Road in Kandivali (west) on Saturday.
The incident occurred when the Kandivali-based businessman Indrajit Arora (38) parked his car to get drinking water from a shop. The Kandivali police probing the case said no one witnessed the theft that occurred at around 8.15pm near Pooja Residential Building.

Arora is clueless how the valuables were stolen from his car that was kept on the side seat.
"The complainant don't know whether he had locked the car or was it open when he went to buy water from the shop. The thief has stolen the valuables, including cash, without breaking the car glass," said Charkop police senior inspector Vijay Bhalshankar.
In the complaint, Arora said, "He was bringing the valuables from his jewellery shop when the valuables--gold worth Rs 30 lakhs, diamonds worth Rs 5 lakhs and Rs one lakh cash was stolen."
Police are trying to locate if they can get any closed circuit television (CCTV) from the locality to track down the accused.
