MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev offered condolences on Sunday to his Turkish counterpart, Binali Yildirim, over the recent twin blast in Istanbul and called for a severe punishment for those involved.
"There is no excuse to this barbaric crime. The culprits must be severely punished," Medvedev said in a cable to Yildirim, circulated by the government’s press office.
Two bombs exploded near the Vodafone Arena Stadium on Saturday night, killing 38 people, most of them security forces.
