Varanasi: A two-day ‘Sadakal Gujarat’ event was inaugurated by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani at the Assi Ghat here today.
The Gujarat government decided to celebrate its annual ‘Gujarat Sadakal’ event in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Lok Sabha constituency this time.
The event organised every year in different states aims at bringing the Gujarati community together.
While inaugurating the event, the Gujarat CM hailed Modi’s demonetisation move, saying “it is a historic decision that will strengthen our economy in the long run and will make the country’s future bright under the leadership of an honest Prime Minister.”
Urging the people to lend their support to the PM’s decision, he said demonetisation has put a check on corruption and black money.
“Our PM has pledged to make India free from corruption and black money,” he said.
He said Modi during his tenure as chief minister had carried out a lot of development in Gujarat.
