Border Guard Bangladesh members sent back 11 boats fully packed with Rohingyas to Myanmar following their attempt to intrude into the Bangladesh territory though the Naf River in Cox’s Bazar early Saturday.

Commanding officer of BGB-2 Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jar Ali Jahid said some 110-120 Rohingyas, including women and children, boarding 11 boats were trying to enter the country crossing the river through five points of Teknaf upazila from Friday evening to Saturday morning.

Later, the BGB team obstructed the Rohingyas and pushed back them to Myanmar, he said.
On the other hand, another BGB team arrested a Rohingya man while he was trying to enter the country through Ukhiya border point early in the morning, said Imran Ullah Sarkar of BGB-34 battalion.

Later, he was sent back to Myanmar, Imran added.
