The Income Tax department has seized Rs 5.7 crore in new notes from a hawala dealer in Karnataka.
The seizure of Rs 5.7 crore in new notes, Rs 90 lakh in old ones and 32kg in bullion were made from 'secret bathroom chamber' of a hawala dealer's house. This is the second big haul of new notes in Karnataka after PM Modi announced demonetisation on November 8.
PM Modi has said he is not being allowed to speak in Parliament on demonetisation.
"The government has always said that it is ready for a debate in Parliament. But, I am not being allowed to speak in the Lok Sabha so I am speaking in the Jan Sabha," PM Modi said while addressing a rally in Gujarat's Banaskantha. He also added that the happenings in Parliament had even anguished President Pranab Mukherjee.

This was in an apparent reference to cases like that of Disney World and other American companies wherein people hired on H-1B visas, including Indians, displaced US workers. On immigration, Trump reiterated that he will build the wall along the Mexico border.
