A notice has been issued against Mahatma Gandhi seeking reply over the illegal construction of a building in Janjgir district of Chhattisgarh.

Janjgir: A notice has been issued against Mahatma Gandhi seeking reply over the illegal construction of a building in Janjgir district of Chhattisgarh.

Reportedly, the Dabra Nagar Panchayat has given 7 days time to Mahatma Gandhi to appear before the office with all documents.

Interestingly, if Mahatma Gandhi does not appear or file a reply, then he will be charged under various sections of Municipal Act-1961.

Reacting on the matter, the Congress launched an attack on Nagar Panchayat officer Nitu Agrawal and accused her of attempting to defame Mahatma Gandhi.

The Congress has handed over a memorandum in the name Chief Minister Raman Singh to SHO and Dabra SDM seeking action against Nitu Agrawal.

The Congress has also threatened the government that if action is not initiated against Agrawal in three days then it will face state-wide bandhs and protests.

Noteworthy, as per the orders by the administration, all the developers of illegal buildings have been handed over notices seeking information about the construction.
