Aamir Khan arranged a special screening of his upcoming wrestling drama, Dangal, to Rajinikanth and requested him to dub for his character in the film’s Tamil version.

However, the superstar politely declined the offer. A source tells us, “Though Rajini sir was moved by the film, he couldn’t take up the offer.” Perhaps, he’s too busy with 2.0, a sequel to Enthiran (2010), and also might have thought his voice wouldn’t suit Aamir!

Dangal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is the biographical story of Mahavir Singh Phogat. He taught wrestling to his daughters, Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari, who won gold and silver medals respectively for India at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Though the superstar has acted in Hindi films, he has never dubbed for one. We hear the makers of 2.0 had approached Aamir to play the negative role. After Aamir rejected the offer, it came to Akshay Kumar.

Dangal is releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu across India on December 23. And well, looks like Aamir will have to get someone else to dub his voice in Tamil!
