Targeting Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung again, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday sent a seven-page note the L-G stating that he has directed the chief secretary and the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) to not implement the L-G’s decision to appoint Dilraj Kaur, secretary of the Women and Child Development (WCD) department, as the member-secretary of DCW.

In his note, Kejriwal wrote, “There seems to be a clear pattern that honest officers are targeted… so as to deliberately put hurdles in good work being carried out by the government. Clearly the LG is acting in a partisan manner.” He said that the matter concerning the DCW was indisputably a ‘transferred subject’ and not a reserved subject under the L-G.

Leader of Opposition in Delhi assembly, Vijender Gupta, said, “In an illegal and unconstitutional move, the chief minister has arrogantly directed the chief secretary not to implement the L-G’s direction and has nominated P P Dhal in her place.”
