There’s little Kate McKinnon and Vanessa Bayer can’t make funny — including holiday shopping. The Saturday Night Live cast members and stars of Office Christmas Party met up with Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric at Bed Bath & Beyond to check some items off their gift lists.

McKinnon and Bayer spoke with Couric about covering the election on SNL, their new movie, which comes out Dec. 9, and their favorite holiday memories.

“We’re sort of, like, energized,” Bayer said about the current season of SNL. “There are some new people there, [and] because of the political stuff, it felt … really important to be putting really smart material out there.”

“The movie is hilarious,” McKinnon said about Office Christmas Party, their new Christmas comedy. “It has a primo list of very primo comedians.”

“And I would say it has a lot of heart,” Bayer added. “There’s some really great storylines.”

They also shared with Couric their favorite holiday memories and what’s on their wish lists —Bayer wants a Dyson hair dryer, and McKinnon wants a donation made in her name to a food bank. “I want that too,” Bayer quickly added about the food bank donation. “I want that the most.” (Following the interview, Couric donated to City Harvest, a local New York City food bank, in both McKinnon and Bayer’s names.)
