Oxford OPP are warning hunters to always follow safety rules and regulations after a vehicle was struck by a stray bullet on the 401.

Police say the vehicle was travelling eastbound on the highway between Sweaburg Road and the ONROUTE Service Centre Wednesday around 8:25 a.m. when it was hit.

No one was injured.

Police found a slug fragment near the trunk of the car.

The Ministry of Natural Resources also assisted with the investigation.

Police want hunters to always keep safety in mind while out.
