Spiderman trailer, spiderman, spider-man homecoming, tom holland, spider-man image Spider-Man Homecoming: Tom Holland’s Peter Parker learns to save the world from Tony Stark. His suit has some bells and whistles thanks to Iron Man too.

First thing first, Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer has Tony Stark in it, a lot of Tony Stark. If all you fans out there expected just a glimpse, Marvel has given you Christmas on a platter, a fortnight in advance. And how is our mint-new Spider-Man, Tom Holland, doing? He is a bit of a bonehead, a dorky teenager out to save the world. The trouble is, he has to learn to superhero while balancing saving the world with Physics class. This is going to be fun, for him and us both.

Holland had himself called the film the one where Spider-Man is “not a finished article”. It seems that stands true for his love life and superhero life both. And as Captain America: Civil War’s beloved debut proved it, watching this kid make massive mistakes and working on his learning curve is going to be a whole lot entertaining. Probably that’s where Iron Man comes in, although he is not the best mentor an adolescent should have. Robert Downey Jr’s Strak accepts as much when he tells Peter Parker that he should not do what he does and definitely doesn’t do what he doesn’t do, which leaves him a tiny grey area where he should function. Figure that out Peter but those Spidey wings are super cool.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s favourite wall-crawler not only meets his mentor but his nemesis in this trailer too. Michael Keaton’s Vulture flew in for a brief tete-a-tete and some serious mayhem. All in all, Spider-Man Homecoming has a trailer which is typical Marvel. We just hope that the Avengers get just brief cameos in the film, for it is Spidey’s time to shine. And God knows he has enough challenges as it is. As Holland put it to USA Today, this one is “more a character piece about this kid who’s struggling to talk to girls and also struggling to save the city.”

Till date, we have seen three different actors playing Spider-Man in the superhero’s five-film run. The total money it has earned is a staggering $3.9 billion worldwide. Add tie-ups such as Captain America: Civil War and you will understand why Spidey keeps on getting a new face and a new franchise. Holland is the youngest actor to play Holland at 20.
