Dehradun, December 8

Justice Jagdish Bhalla (retd) took over as the new chairman of the State Human Rights Commission here today.

Bhalla, after taking charge of the office, met officials and employees of the commission and apprised about the activities of the commission.

He showed interest in the cases that were pending with the Commission.

Jagdish Bhalla has served as the Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan High Courts. He has also served as the chairman of the Punjab Human Rights Commission.
