Cop’s daughter ends life

NAGPUR: Seventeen-year-old Rutika Mule has committed suicide by hanging herself at her place in Pardhi Nagar on Wednesday night. The police, who didn’t recover a suicide note, have registered the case of accidental death.
Cops said, Rutika, a student of Std XII, took this drastic step when her her father Pramod, a police constable, had gone for a night shift while her mother and younger brother were asleep.
The matter came to fore when Rutika’s friend reached her place on Thursday to borrow a book.
She knocked the door which awoke her mother who found Rutika’s hanging body in the dining room.
Cops said family members were reluctant to say anything. Further probe is underway.
