In September, Gucci Mane had OutKast fans spazzing when he claimed to have recorded with Big Boi and Andre 3000 on Snapchat. Though a rep for 3 Stacks quickly debunked rumors of a reunion album, one half of the Atlanta duo has set the record straight himself.
While speaking to Creative Loafing Tampa, Big Boi squashed all speculation about there being a possible Outkast record featuring Guwop. He says that he teamed up with Gucci for a song on his solo album slated for next year. “Gucci is on this album, most definitely. He was just excited because the song was jammin’ like a motherf—er,” he says in the interview.
Big Boi and Gucci worked together in the past when they teamed up for “Shine Blockas” back in 2010 for his album, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. As for his new project, Big Boi mentions in the interview that it’ll “probably be done by the end of January.”
Andre 3000 has also kept busy with cameos on Travis Scott‘s Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight and A Tribe Called Quest’s We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service.
