WINGO landed on Aruba for the first time on Saturday

Will be flying in twice a week on route from Bogota to Aruba in a 737-700 with a capacity of 142 passengers

On our part we will work hard to make this relation a lasting one filled with success for all of us,” Chief Operations Officer of Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (A.A.A.), Jurgen Benschop said during a special ceremony at the occasion of the inaugural flight of WINGO Saturday Dec 3rd.

He emphasized that at this moment Aruba’s airport counts on 11 direct flights from Colombia on a weekly basis, besides 11 indirect flights from Colombia to the island. This shows clearly that A.A.A. has a good quantity of passengers arriving from this destination, which in fact is a good hub for Latin America too. WINGO will fly from Bogota to Aruba.

Besides the welcoming words from the C.O.O of A.A.A, also at word was the executive of WINGO, Carolina Gomez, who elaborated on the preparations and the big enthusiasm of the airline, which just started flying on December 1 of this year. More than that they are proud to have chosen Aruba among its first destinations and are convinced of the success of this route. WINGO is a low-cost carrier that starts its roundtrip flights from Bogota to Aruba at just $159.

WINGO is flying with 4 Boeing 737-700 with a capacity of 142 passengers from El Dorado International Airport in Bogota, Colombia. They announced two flights to Aruba twice a week, besides other destinations in Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela.
