Union Minister and Punjab BJP president, Vijay Sampla today said that Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar was a messiah of the nation who served the nation till his last breath. Sampla was speaking at a function held at the party headquarters here to mark his death anniversary. The BJP celebrated the day as ‘Social Harmony Day’. Sampla said, “Dr. Ambedkar united all the sections of the society and brought about social equality. He was the one who provided right to vote to the women in the country and reduced the working hours of the laborers from 12 to 8 hours”.Sampla stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi followed the ideology of Dr. Ambedkar and took steps to curb the black money. Sampla said, “Dr. Ambedkar had advocated that currency should be replaced every 10 years. PM Modi has followed his ideology and initiated steps against black money”.Sampla further said, “The Centre government has paid respect to the great leader and has developed five ‘tiraths’ to mark the journey of his life. BJP is the only party which has realized the ideology of Dr. Ambedkar and has celebrated his anniversary as Social Harmony Day throughout the nation”.
