Second meeting between Gujarat govt and PAAS over, third meeting decided

Gandhinagar: on the second meeting with conveners of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti(PAAS) today, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel in a release said the conveners today presented various evidences regarding reservation quota provided in other states. After legal study of these evidences, next meeting will be held. PAAS and government had agreement on this at the end of today’s meeting.
Nitin Patel further said that Chief Minister who is believer in spirit of ‘Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikaas’ has decided to hear the issues pertaining to all sections of society. PAAS conveners were called for discussion on earlier occasion also. Both parties had consultation over how the issue can find resolution through legal and constitutional way. PAAS representatives presented various court orders and reports of various commissions. The state government will take legal guidance in respect to these documents and step toward next procedure.
Nitin Patel said, in respect to Patidar quota agitation, the government after holding discussion with PAAS conveners will also hear other organisations like Sardar Patel Group(SPG) and give its best effort to speedy solution of all issues.
Nitin Patel said he had talked to PAAS leader Hardik Patel and his aide Dineshbhai yesterday. Just yesterday, PAAS proposed second meeting and government called the meeting today.
Nitin Patel also said that he would share the details of today’s meeting with higher ups in government and in party and intends to call third meeting next week.
