Dharmendra aka He-Man of Bollywood turns 81 on December 8. On his 81st birthday, we could not resist taking a look at garam Dharam’s most viral picture that broke the internet. Dharmendra shocked many when a photograph showed the veteran actor kissing famous politician and lawyer Ram Jethmalani. He was caught in a liplock with Ram Jethmalani and the photograph became the hot topic on the social networking sites. The smooch-gate between the senior celebrities in their own right reportedly took place during Ram Jethmalani’s birthday celebrations in 2014. Born in 1935, Dharmendra is tagged as a ‘complete actor’. From playing the role of quintessential romantic hero to bashing up the goons in an action-hero avatar to the brilliant comic timing, Dharmendra had mastered it all. The 81-year-old redefined the saying – a superstar cannot act. His acting chops made him critics favourite while his down to earth mannerisms earned him super stardom. While Veeru from cult hit Sholay remains our all time favourite, one simply cannot ignore his glorious career spanning over six decades.

On his 81st birthday, B-town celebs took on the social media to wish the action-king Dharam paaji. Leading them were the megastar and Sholay co-star Amitabh Bachchan who in series of tweets wished the actor. He wrote, ‘T 2466 – Happy birthday Dharam ji .. bahut badhai aur pyaar !’ and T 2466 – Birthday greetings to dearest Dharam ji .. love and affection !!’

Dharmendra’s actress turned politician wife, Hema Malini also conveyed her birthday wishes. She tweeted, ‘Recalling today the best yrs of my career,best & happy yrs of togetherness till date & the 2 lovely babies we have. Happy Birthday Dharamji!’ Hema Malini also posted pictures of the golden couple of the 80s.

Earlier this week, Dharmendra spoke about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa after her sudden demise on December 5. The late actress turned politician worked with Dharmendra in her first and only Bollywood film Izzat in 1968. Dharmendra remembered her as a ‘fine artiste, and a good person — very friendly, beautiful and courteous.’ The actor was quoted saying, ‘I feel a deep sense of loss.’
