NASHIK: Over 500 representatives of Sai baba temples from across the world will arrive in Shirdi on Saturday and Sunday to participate in the Global Summit where they will discuss the events to be held during the centenary year of Saibaba’s death anniversary.
“More than 500 representatives from India and abroad have already registered for the summit online.
We are allowing only 2 representatives from every temple across the world. I hope more than 70 representatives from foreign countries participate in the summit,” said Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust (SSST) president Dr Suresh Hawre.
The temple will celebrate the 100th year of Saibaba’s death from October 2017 to October 2018 with several many pro-people projects and new initiatives to facilitate devotees.
“About 1 crore devotees are expected to visit Shirdi during 2017-18. As a result, we will start many interesting projects from January 1 itself,” Hawre said. The temple will provide free meals to every devotee for a year starting January 1. The trust is also planning to construct a VIP darshan queue like of Tirupathi Balaji temple.
“We will construct 12 darshan halls, to accommodate 2,500 devotees each. There will be restrooms, libraries and first-aid centres,” Hawre added. Free wi-fi will start from January 1.
