BJP MP Prabhat sinh Chauhan’s son joins Congress

VADODARA: Pravinsinh Chauhan, son of BJP Member of Parliament (MP) from Panchmahals, Prabhatsinh Chauhan, joined the Congress party on Wednesday at Godhra in presence of Gujarat Congress president Bharatsinh Solanki and leader of opposition in state Assembly Shankarsinh Vaghela.
At a function organized by Panchmahals District Congress Committee in Godhra, Pravinsinh made a dramatic entry with his supporters and joined the party.
Pravinsinh and his supporters were inducted in the party by Solanki and Vaghela. Pravinsinh announced that his wife Suman who is a district panchayat member from BJP will also join Congress soon. “BJP remembers me only when there is election. It does not otherwise help me get my work done, which is sad. They have even removed our names from the panel for district panchayat elections,” he said. Pravinsinh had contested the 2012 assembly election from Godhra on a BJP ticket. Prabhatsinh has disowned his son publicly in the past.
