SEOUL -- Political turmoil surrounding President Park Geun-hye continues to cast a shadow over South Korea. Park has already showed her willingness to step down in April, but local media and prosecutors are taking an unprecedented opportunity to increase their presence in their country's politics.
"It was truly a shock," said a South Korean man who runs an investment company in the capital. He was referring to a photo that appeared on the front page of the South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo on Nov. 7.
