KATHMANDU: A man died when a scooter he was riding on hit a parked bus at Tinkune, Sallaghari in Bahaktapur district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as scooter (Ba 79 Pa 176) rider Surya Yonjan of Ramechhap, currently residing in Bhaktapur.

Yonjan breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Bhaktapur District Hospital, police said.

The scooter hit the bus (Ba 3 Kha 3781) at around 8:30 pm yesterday.

The Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur has impounded the bus and arrested its driver for investigation.
