JAISALMER: Lieutenant general
Suresh Sharma, director general of border roads visited Jaisalmer and Barmer areas along with other desert sectors. He reviewed the progress of roads infrastructure projects being constructed by BRO in border areas of Barmer and Jaisalmer. Sharma was on a visit to the headquarters of 45 border roads task force in Jodhpur and desert sectors on borders of western Rajasthan from December 5-7.

Border Roads Organization (BRO) under headquarters
project Chetak.
He reviewed the progress of roads infrastructure projects being constructed by BRO in the border areas of Barmer and Jaisalmer. The DG also met local military formation commanders who appreciated the work being done by BRO in desert area.
Ojha said that BRO is constructing road infrastructure projects mainly in border areas of the country. Forty five BRTF is located at Jodhpur since 1976 and it has been engaged with construction and maintenance of road networks in remote areas of border districts of the state. It has also provided employment to locals as workers.
Taking a stock of the work by BRO, Sharma appreciated the progress of works. He urged all BRO personnel to dedicate themselves to the important task being carried out by them, which brings immense socio-economic development in remote areas. While addressing the
GREF personnel, Sharma also called upon to maintain good health and high standards of roads. The DG told to all officers and BRO personnel that higher productivity and better quality are his key result areas and we all must work to achieve the same.
