VARANASI: AAP leader and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of taking bribe from business tycoons.
Addressing the public at Benia Bagh ground in Varanasi on Wednesday, he also said, “He (Modi) plans to waive off the loans to the tune of Rs 8 lakh crore of his billionaire friends with the money collected from common man in the name of demonetization.”
The Delhi chief minister also claimed that he had gone through Modi’s secret file, which contains the list of 648 persons who deposited black money in Swiss banks.
Kejriwal was in Varanasi to attend a public meeting organised in protest against the plight of common man after demonetisation, Kejriwal waved some papers and said, “I have come here with the account books of two big tycoons which show that Modi took bribe from them. These documents were seized during IT raids at their business establishments in October 2013 and November 2014,” he said. “Modi has a file that contains a list of 648 people having Swiss bank accounts. I have seen that file,” he said adding that, “The fact is that the scheme of demonetization was brought just to save these businessmen. The demonetization will fail to eliminate a single paisa of black money and corruption.”
“It is the biggest scam of free India that has left the Congress far behind,” he said adding that the demonetization scheme is not only wrong and badly implemented but it has been implemented with bad intention. “I would have been the first person to support Modi if he had taken sincere effort to end corruption. I always supported him for good initiatives like Swachha Bharat Abhiyan, yoga camps and surgical strikes across LoC,” he said.
