Srinagar, Dec 7: Two persons including a minor were killed while three others were injured in different road accidents in Valley and Kargil.
A police spokesman said a tractor hit and critically injured a six year-old boy identified as Faizan Thokar at Imoh village of Achabal area in Anantnag district. The boy was rushed to District Hospital Anantnag where doctors declared him brought dead, he said, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
The spokesman said a Maruti car bearing registration number JK18/0980 hit a motorcycle bearing registration number JK22A/0799 at Matibugh village of Yaripora in Kulgam district, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist and a pillion. “Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a Eco vehicle bearing registration number JK07/2384 met with an accident near Hanaskot Bridge in Chiktan area of Kargil district, resulting in injuries to its driver identified Shujat Hussain. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The police spokesman said a Tipper bearing registration number JK14/5144 hit and injured a person identified as Abdul Rashid Sofi at Drangbal in Baramulla district. “The injured was shifted to SMHS Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
