Aflao, Dec. 7, GNA - Voting delayed for about an hour in a good number of polling stations in Aflao in the Ketu South Constituency of the Volta Region.

At about 07:45 hours, many voters, who claimed to be in queues from 04:00 hours chastised officials from the Electoral Commission for the late start of the exercise.

Mr Bright Akligo, Presiding Officers at the Post Office Centre 'C' attributed the delay to late arrival of voting materials.

Voting started a few minutes to 08:00 hours at some of the centres and is underway smoothly, but for the difficulties some voters went through in locating their centres due to the creation of new centres by the Electoral Commission, everything was smooth.

Agents of the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress told the GNA that they were satisfied with proceedings in the Constituency.

At Border Primary Centre 'A', 83 voters had cast their ballots at about 08:30 hours when the GNA visited the Centre.

The GNA saw security officers and election observers at all the centres visited including Post Office Centres, 'A, 'B' and 'C'.

Military vehicles were also spotted patrolling in the Constituency.
