Akshaya's favourite food

This Kochi girl is extremely fond of native Kerala seafood delicacies like karimeen pollichathu and naadan fish curry.

The hit movie Om Shanthi Oshana introduced Akshaya Premnath to the film world. Akshaya, who recently married Prithvi Rajan, made her trailblazing Tollywood debut with an endearing role in the movie Venn Diagram.

This Kochi girl is extremely fond of native Kerala seafood delicacies like karimeen pollichathu and naadan fish curry. Breakfast dishes like dosa, sambar, vada and other home-made food prepared by her mother are something she cannot resist. Luckily, her husband Prithvi Rajan is blessed with culinary skills and prepares exquisite dishes with finesse. Non-veg dishes like chilli chicken and biriyani cooked by Prithvi Rajan are Akshaya’s favourite.

Asked about her own culinary skills, she says, “Kesari and fish curry are the dishes I cook for Prithvi Rajan.” Akshaya, who is also very careful about her diet, mentions, “Being a graduate student in National Institute of Fashion Technology, Chennai, amidst a strenuous and hectic career, I still find time to maintain good health and a fit body.” She adds, “I have light snacks at noon and chapati at night.”

Biriyani is what she loves the most and she prefers white rice to ‘Chamba rice’. Her roots in Kerala and student life in Chennai have helped Akshaya explore the vistas of two different cultures, lifestyle and food. “I don’t have a big craze for food. Now my sole focus is on fashion” she adds.
