Mahendragarh, December 7
CRPF constable Kamal Singh, who was killed in a Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewara region yesterday, was cremated at his native Patikra village in the district today with full military honours.
He is survived by his wife, a son and daughter.
The body the martyr was brought to the village by Army personnel in the wee hours. Manish Kumar, son of the martyr, lit the pyre. Administrative officers and people from all walks of life paid tributes to the martyr.
Vijay Singh, younger brother of the martyr, said his brother had joined his posting station in Chhattisgarh 10 days ago. He was a member of the Bomb Disposal Squad and got killed while patrolling in the region.
