Wedged in one corner of this extremely narrow and extrmely crowded lane is Pt. Gaya Prasad Shiv Charan, which serves up every kind of stuffed paranthas you can ever dream of. Don’t forget to order a tall glass of thick, sweet lassi too. However, getting a place to sit here can be quite a hustle, as it’s always crowded. But trust us, the struggle is all worth it.

The Blue Door in Khan Market has a pretty elaborate breakfast menu. It is THE place to go to, if you are having some serious bacon cravings. Their Waffle Slam- waffles with sausages, bacon strips and choice of eggs- is a crowd pleaser, but we swear by their autumn apple and yogurt bowl, which is our perfect healthy breakfast bowl of apples, almonds and berries in yogurt and drizzled with honey.

16. Smoke House Deli

Located in five locations across the national capital, Smoke House Deli serves breakfast all day, something that we are especially partial to. But that is just one part of the reason why this restaurant holds a special place in our hearts, the other being that it serves absolutely lip smacking food. Almost every other item on its menu is fresh and is perfectly executed. While breakfasting, go for their eggs Benedict and/or cheddar cheese omelet and finish off with their warm apple crumble.

This quaint book cafe is the prefect retreat for a misanthrope, and is thus, one of our all time favourite breakfast places in Delhi. They have an all-day breakfast menu, serving up pancakes, yogurt bowls, bagels and one of the most elaborate choice of eggs, we have ever seen. Their pancakes- both the sweet and the savoury types- are extremely popular, with the potato cheese pancakes being our personal favourite.

18. Eggspectation 

Famous for its Sunday brunches, Eggspectation’s breakfast is also quite popular with food lovers in the city, because of their specialization in serving customized egg dishes. You can go for the Eggspectation omelet with mushrooms, onions, red and green peppers, bacon, ham, sausage, cheddar cheese and their famous lyonnaise style potatoes, or you can be a little ostentatious and go for their chicken and waffles. We would personally suggest the latter, which is a delightful twist of the traditional golden waffles, served with chicken strips, arugula and cherry tomato salad and honey lime dressing.

Elma’s Bakery, Bar and Kitchen serve one of the best croissants in the city. The croissants can be topped simply with butter, or chocolate, melted cheese or poached eggs. They also serve an utterly filling full English breakfast- choice of eggs, bacon, sausages, bakes beans, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms. If you are one of the health conscious ones, you can opt for their fruit yogurt which is also quite popular, or the seasonal fruit salad bowl.

20. Cafe Tonino

Cafe Tonino is synonymous with Italian fine dine experience for Delhiites, without the need for a deep pocket.
