Raees vs Kaabil is okay! We are more excited about the Shah Rukh Khan vs Nawazuddin Siddiqui face off

It will be a super star vs a super actor all the way! Are you excited?

A lot has been said about the big Bollywood clash of 2017! Shah Rukh Khan’s Raaes and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil are set to release on the same day, 25 January, 2017. Both the movies were earlier slated to hit screens on Republic Day. Kaabil producer earlier this week made the announcement preponing the film and today, with the release of Raees trailer, we learnt that even SRK’s biggie will release on the same day as Hrithik’s. While papa Rakesh Roshan is angry and has lambasted SRK and the makers of Raees in an interview to DNA citing this as ‘bad games’, Shah Rukh disclosed to the media that they had spoken to the producers of Kaabil before taking the decision to prepone Raees.

SRK-Hrithik clash is all okay. We are of course waiting to see how the two films perform at the box office. But what we find more exciting is the clash in the film Raees itself. One look at the trailer and you know that it is going to be a very interesting battle between Shah Rukh Khan and his nemesis in the film Nawazuddin Siddiqi. For gangster Raees Aslam, his work is like his religion and he is unstoppable but ACP Majumdar is no less. Despite all odds, he is hell bent on stopping this bootlegger. There is great dialoguebaazi in the film which is already evident from the very star of the trailer. While SRK as the gangster is menacing, Nawaz as the ACP doesn’t know how to mince his words.

By the looks of it, while SRK’s character packs a punch, Nawaz’s equally equipped to make a strong repartee. We are already impressed with Nawaz’s performance and it seems Shah Rukh Khan is too. We saw Shah Rukh praising his co-star at the recent trailer launch. “Actors like Nawazuddin make us look really nice,” said the Dear Zindagi star further adding that media should praise the kind of work actors like Nawaz do.

It can be recalled that Nawazuddin has earlier worked with Salman Khan in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Kick – he played an ally in one and a cop in the latter. Despite Salman Khan’s star appeal, we have witnessed how Nawaz couldn’t be overshadowed and held his own. And we are quite sure that similar will be the case with Raees as well. Talking about reactions to the Raees trailer on Twitter, we could see the excitement the trailer has generated around this face off. It is going to be Shah Rukh Khan vs Nawazuddin Siddiqi, a gangster vs cop and in the end, one superstar vs a super actor! January 25, 2017 – Please be here already!
