Google Nexus 7 Release Date Set On October 2017 With An All-New Look? Device To Feature Andromeda OS, 5100mAh Battery & Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Chipset?
Kirsten KaneThe Google Nexus 7 has now been rumored as one of the best handsets to be released in 2017. However, it is still a mystery especially that most of the information swirling on the web are not yet official.
Previously, the Nexus 7 is expected to come out just in time for the Christmas holidays however Huawei has reportedly rejected Google's offer to be the manufacturers of their future phones since the tech giant company doesn't want Huawei's brand to be included on the design.
"The Chinese company (Huawei) reportedly turned Google down because the search giant insisted that its brand should be the only one adorning the Pixels. When Huawei execs heard that the Huawei logo wouldn't be on the phones, they turned Google down," as reported by GSMArena,
With this, many believed that the Nexus 7 is unlikely to be released this year which made fans a bit disappointed. Latest reports suggest that the upcoming device will not be released too soon as it will have its first appearance on October at Google's event in 2017.
Rumors have it that the Nexus 7 is in collaboration with HTC and the company is planning to revamp the features of their highly-anticipated phone. One of the features which is likely to be changed is its appearance as consumers have been searching for more stylish looking handsets, nowadays.
Moreover, the device is said to feature a 7-inch quad high-definition with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage that can expand up to 2TB of memory. It is also expected to run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. The Nexus 7 is reportedly be powered by the hybrid operating system Andromeda which guarantees interface portable PCs, tablets, and Smartphones in a better way. The said OS enhances the multitasking capabilities as it allows open document framework and a device to have a multipurpose UI.
As reported by 9 to 5 Google, the "tablet - as a dev device - could actually have a version of Android out of the box, but have a "developer preview" version of Andromeda available to those who want to develop for it." The source is not sure about it, however they are "fairly certain that Google plans for it o be able to run Andromeda in some form or fashion at some point."
The tablet device is likely to sport an AMOLED display and a 13-megapixel camera with a LED flash. In addition, 5100mAh battery capacity and a USB Type C port are projected as well.
Google has yet to give an official statement regarding the rumored Nexus 7.
