A message from Governor's house was conveyed that he will address the students on phone. When a call was made on vice-chancellor JV Vaishampayan's mobile phone, it was attached to the speakers to enable the students present in auditorium to hear the governor's address.
The governor said that he is feeling pleased with the achievements of students in the past three years.
He said more than 3.24 lakh students study in 1,250 colleges affiliated to CSJM University. "It gives immense pleasure to me to inform that in this figure, the number of girl students is more than boys. Also out of 78 students who had received gold and bronze medals, 60 were girls and 18 were boys, he informed. On a light note he said, this seems like a alarm bell for boys and if this continues, boys would need reservation.
Giving tips for success to the students, Naik said one should always respect others, even when he/she is on top and attain success in life. Ego is the biggest enemy of a student. "You should focus on your achievements and try to do thing in better ways," he added.
