Botched marijuana deal. Four people from Missouri came to Colorado on Nov. 10 to meet up with a man who said he could help the tourists get a hold of some marijuana. The resident took the tourists to an apartment complex in the area of East 56th Avenue and Olive Street, Commerce City. One of the people got out of the car with the resident and walked around to meet a man on the other side of the complex, who was waiting with a handgun. The two residents walked the man back to his car and robbed everyone of their cash and cell phones. Police tried to ping the cell phone signals, but the suspects got away.

Gutted trove. A woman who lives in the 11600 block of Community Center Drive noticed Nov. 11 that her storage unit had been robbed. The victim hadn’t checked the unit in months, but it used to be packed to the ceiling with furniture, books, dozens of bottles of liquor and other valuables. She opened it recently to find everything but a couple of boxes missing.

Dumped baby bedroom set. A patrolling Commerce City police officer notice a pile of trash that someone left in the 9800 block of Potomac Street on Nov. 11. There was a broken crib, smashed dresser and assorted clothes strewn all over the area. There are no suspects.

Door pounding. Police responded Nov. 12 to a 911 hang-up call in the 3000 block of East 112th Avenue, Northglenn and found a woman in her car with her two kids. She and her boyfriend had been arguing, and the boyfriend banged on the car door and dented it. Police couldn’t locate him.

Stolen car recovered. On  Nov. 13, Northglenn police ran a license plate for a suspicions car parked in the area of East Irma Drive and 112th Avenue. The car was stolen, and the two men inside it were arrested.
