Liquor worth Rs 1.12 lakh seized from Songadh

Surat: Songadh police arrested three persons with 324 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 1,12, 320 at Mandal toll booth on National Highway-53 in Tapi district on Tuesday.
The car valued at Rs 2.5 lakh in which the liquor was being ferried and a mobile phone worth Rs 500 were also seized from the possession of Sikandar Raj, Mukesh Vasava and Dhanji Vasava, who are residents of Vagra in Bharuch district.
Accused Pintu, who is a resident of Navapur, is on the run.
The accused have been booked under Prohibition Act sections 66(1), 65 (AE), 116(2), 81, 98 and 99, police said.
