Gotta buy something. On Nov. 25, the manager at 7-Eleven, 4708 Washington St., called Denver police after a man caused a disturbance. The manager said the suspect went into the bathroom for 20 minutes to wash himself with a jug, spilling water on the floor. He later tried to take several condiment items before being stopped and told he needed to buy something. An argument ensued and the customer was told not to return. After flipping off staff from the parking lot, the suspect left, but later returned and was arrested.

We saw that. Denver police arrested a man Nov. 23 after officers witnessed him assaulting another man near the intersection of Park Avenue and Lawrence Street. The suspect struck the victim in the back of the head, causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect continued to assault the victim on the ground until police intervened.

Suspect confident he’ll walk. On Nov. 26, a man was arrested for a previous warrant and for not paying a cab fare in the 18700 block of East 71st Avenue. A cab driver called police after the suspect ran from the driver and told him he would not pay. When contacted by police, the suspect first claimed he had paid with a company credit card, then told police to take him to jail and that he would get off on a technicality. He was found to have a previous warrant.

Fire extinguisher man arrested. A man was arrested Nov. 25 after he was found in an apartment building in the 4800 block of East Kentucky Avenue covered in chemicals from a fire extinguisher that was discharged in an elevator. He then tried to enter several apartments. He did not live at the complex.
