Former exec returning as Delta chief commercial officer

Delta Air Lines will welcome back a familiar face with the appointment of John ‘Ned’ Walker as SVP and chief commercial officer.
Walker returns to Delta in the New Year and will be a member of the airline’s leadership committee reporting to CEO Ed Bastion.
Walker has more than 30 years experience in the airline industry and served as Delta CCO from 2008 to 2014.
"I am delighted to bring Ned’s talent and expertise back to Delta. as we continue to take Delta to the next level his knowledge of the company and industry coupled with his deep experience will be enormously invaluable," Bastion said.
Walker replaces Kevin Shinkle who leaves Delta for family reasons.
