Kodak Ektra With 21MP DSLR-Like Camera Will Be Up for Grabs Starting From December 9
Kodak to try its luck once again with the Ektra in the smartphone market this time.
Kodak, the camera giant launched its first Android smartphone called the IM5 last year. However, the device didn't receive expected results. Following it, last month, the company had unveiled another smartphone named the Ektra. Now, the company had made it available for public with the sales starting from December 9.
The smartphone will be first made available in Germany and then followed by a global launch. Currently, the smartphone is priced at EUR 499 which is roughly around Rs. 36,500. As reported by Android Authority, it will be up for grabs on Amazon, Media Markt, Ringfoto, Saturn, kodakphones.com, and notebooksbilliger.de. There’s now word on if the smartphone will be made available in India anytime soon, though.

The major highlight of the smartphone remains its 21MP camera with f/2.0 aperture along with DSLR-like modes and functionalities. In addition, the camera offers support for PDAF, and dual-LED flash. At the front is a 13MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF support.
Like mentioned earlier, there are few DSLR modes like Auto mode, Portrait, Manual, Sports, Bokeh, Night mode, HDR, Panorama, Macro, and Landscape. It also has an advanced manual mode which gives control over exposure, ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and more advanced features.

Other features of the smartphone include, a one of its kind design with a large camera bump at the back which certainly looks good. It has a comfortable 5-inch Full HD display. At the heart of the device is a 2.3GHz Helio X20 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It packs 32GB of internal storage space (which is expandable via a microSD card) and draws juice from a 3,000mAh battery.
